NYC IndieBride Vendor Blog

Getting married in NYC and environs? A bunch of us are too, and though we found ourselves on IndieBride, we think a blog is an easier way to share pictures and keep discussions on topic. So, post your vendor reviews here, and we'll keep a calendar of wedding dates on this blog. If you'd like to join the blog, or add your wedding date to the list, please send an e-mail to trina magna @ gmail dot com (but without all the spaces, of course.)

Amareluz's Color Inspiration

My whole family is from England. I was born there and spent every summer there as a child - I so wanted to go to Disneyland like all the other kids but no, I HAD to go to Europe...so i thought it would be fitting to include something English. It certainly wasn't going to be the food but flowers they do ok with. The town that my family is from - 95% of them still live there - is in the Lake District (Keswick). Every summer they hang these flower baskets on all the lamp-posts:

We took this pic this past summer when we went on the "everyone gets to meet and approve of" mr. amareluz trip. I think it will work out nicely - I love bright colors! And this particular basket is hanging outside of my 100 year old grandfather's home...

P.S. thanks again for doing all the work for this - it's a great thing...although now i am even more "desperate" to meet all the contributors IRL!

what a great - and beautiful - way to incorporate your English background! Will the flowers be electrified in any way (hee hee)?
